No Entry to Europe for Popular Saudi Cleric

Saudi Sheikh Mohammad Al-Arifi has been banned again from entering Switzerland and all European Union countries, according to a Swiss official.

Jourg Walban, Swiss Foreign Ministry spokesman, said that Swiss authorities issued a new decision that bans Al-Arifi from entering all EU states for five consecutive years.

The Swiss last December banned al-Arifi from entering Switzerland or the Schengen area which contains 26 European countries. With over 5 million followers on Twitter, the controversial al-Arifi is one of the most popular clerics in Saudi Arabia. Ayedh al-Qarnee, another popular cleric, was also denied entry to the US last year.
