Saudi Women Will Not Work at Pharmacies

Standard

Contrary to reports in local media earlier this month quoting Labor Minister Adel Fakeih as saying female pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be soon allowed to work at commercial pharmacies, an official told Arab News that the ministry made no such plans to allow women to seek employment in Saudi pharmacies. Not only does the ministry has no plans to allow women to work there, but pharmacy chains said they don’t want to hire female pharmacists who said they are not interested in the private sector jobs anyway. So that’s that. At least Nasser al-Omar would be happy.
