It wasn’t My Idea

Standard

A Saudi citizen has accused the government of not giving him credit for the idea for Makkah clock which he had proposed 13 years ago, al-Hayat reported today. Naif Mutair al-Enzi is suing two government departments for giving credit for the idea behind the clock to a French person, instead. Al-Enzy provided the newspaper with a copy of a letter from Makkah governorship in which they acknowledge receiving a suggestion from the aforementioned citizen for the holy city to have a “high clock like the clock of London and the clock of Berlin.”

Why would anyone want to take credit for the idea behind the Makkah Clock Tower? That thing is fugly.
